Rest In Peace to America’s Sweetheart- Betty White Passes Away at 99 Years Old

Betty White almost made it to her 100th birthday. She was born on January 17, 1922. The adored starlet passed away in her home this morning according to a law enforcement report to TMZ.

Her sense of humor and quick wit shone bright as she was the longest running career woman in television. Her career began in 1939. She sang with classmates on an experimental TV show then she modeled a bit before volunteering with efforts for World War II.

She came back and wanted to model but found more luck on the radio before getting more television jobs by the 1950s. She went on to work on all kinds of projects from The Mary Tyler Moore Show to Golden Girls to Saturday Night Live and so much more.

In addition to an absolutely loaded television career, Betty was an advocate for animals and civil rights.  Just a week ago, she was interviewed about how she feels about turning 100 and her secrets to a long life where her answers reflected her silly soul, as she “avoids anything green.” Her legacy will live on as Betty White gave us all laughs, hope, and paved the way for women in entertainment.
